Replica of William Wallace´s sword in Braveheart. In Scottish history WILLIAM WALLACE is a national hero, banned by the English for killing one of them. He did not accept the treaty of submission to England signed in 1227 by the Scottish nobles, Wallace captured various English fortresses and in September 1297 inflicted a severe defeat on the English troops and was elected regent.
