Chain Mantle is a flexible mail shoulder guard made from linked steel rings. The mail covers the upper body and arms, designed to protect the shoulders and chest from piercing and slashing damage. Each butted ring interlocks with four other rings in a 4-in-1 design.
Secure the Chain Mantle by tightening the leather strap around the neck, keeping the mantle in place over your gambeson. Made of 1.6 mm thick mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.
